Friends -
Justin and I will be racing across the Atlantic, 3800nm from France to Martinique this spring, in the Cap-Martinique Race. It'll be a fantastic race with 60 doublehanded and singlehanded boats, and one of the key features of the race is that each boat is racing for a cause.
Red Ruby will be racing for Sailors for the Sea, an organization we have supported for years. Sailors for the Sea works with sailors (and boaters) to protect ocean health through campaigns like the Clean Regatta and Green Boater programs to educate and implement best practices for more sustainable activities. We are also working with Sailors for the Sea on an ongoing project to share ideas and experiences on how to minimize environmental impacts from offshore racing (and cruising).
