What is Bowl For Kids' Sake?

Bowl for Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine's largest fundraiser, raising critical funding for children facing adversity in the 7 counties we serve throughout eastern, central and midcoast Maine. It's a super fun bowling event that raises money to support 1-to-1 mentoring programs for youth facing adversity by matching kids (Littles) with caring, responsible adults and high school/college students (Bigs) who change their lives for the better, forever! This is your chance to make a BIG difference in the lives of local youth in your community, just by having fun bowling. All money raised at our events stays local! 

 How does bowling help kids?

Money raised is used to carefully match Bigs and Littles to ensure child safety, fund healthy activities and snacks at mentoring programs and provide professional support for children, families and volunteers to help build and sustain long-lasting relationships! 

How do I get started?

Step 1: Form teams of 4 to 5 bowlers. Choose when your team will bowl. We have a simplified, electronic registration process to register your team, and raise money the easy way, online! Click REGISTER to get started. Each bowler can pay the $10 registration fee online.  You can also complete a paper team roster and FAX it to: 236-2292 and pay the registration fee separately. 

Step 2: Set your personal and team goals. Most bowlers raise $150 but others reach $2,000, the cost to make and support a Big/Little Match! What impact do you want to have? High fundraisers will receive awards for their support!

Step 3: Set up your fundraising page and start sharing it now with friends through emails and social media. Your donors can support you easily and safely by making a gift online. Of course you can also collect donations and turn them in at the event or mail a check to us! Here's a handy pledge sheet to keep track of donations.

Step 4:  Come out and celebrate bowling with your community with food, music, drawings and 50/50. Register online, or offline, and pay your $10 registration fee by March 15th, and receive a 2023 BBBS t-shirt! 

Invite your family, friends, service clubs, schools, businesses, sports teams, church groups and co-workers! No experience necessary--just a desire to help kids succeed in life.
