Rural Nursing Student Practicums
Rural Nursing's Faculty
UBCO Projects
Support UBC Okanagan nursing students as they complete fourth-year clinical placements in rural, remote and Indigenous communities across British Columbia, the Yukon and beyond. The fund removes financial barriers so students can access meaningful practicum experiences and contribute to community health.
Students describe these practicum experiences as transformative, shaping their careers and deepening their understanding of community health. Many graduates return to the communities where they trained, strengthening local health-care capacity. New partnerships across BC have also expanded placement access and advanced equitable, community-based care.
Your gift will help cover travel and accommodation costs so every qualified nursing student can pursue a rural practicum, regardless of financial need.
Make your Giving Day gift to the Rural Nursing Student Practicums Fund today to help shape the future of health care in rural and Indigenous communities.
