I’m participating in one of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Pittsburgh’s biggest fundraisers of the year – Bowl For Kids’ Sake.  The organization is hoping to raise $220,000 through this fundraiser, and I’m asking you to contribute a small piece of that amount.

This money will help BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh operate its various mentoring programs, recruit new Big Brothers and Big Sisters for the hundreds of potential Littles who are on a waiting list, support current matches, and so much more.

My Little Brother Tristen and I have been matched for almost eight years!  It has been such an outstanding experience for both Tristen and me.  We’ve done so many fun things together and learned a lot from one another.

Research supports the significant positive impact that one-to-one mentoring programs have on a child’s life.  Kids in these programs are more likely to succeed in school and are less likely to use drugs and alcohol and engage in violence.  My personal experience with BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh has shown me the passion and care that BBBS staff and volunteers have for improving the lives of Pittsburgh area children.  It is a truly amazing organization.

Please consider a donation of any amount – every $5 or $10 gets BBBS Pittsburgh a little closer to that $220,000 goal.  Thank you so much for your support of this awesome organization!
