ABOUT YBBBS
We believe that inherent in every young person is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.
We have been fostering life-changing mentoring relationships in Yavapai County for over 50 years.
When a youth (Little) is matched with a mentor (Big), that young person benefits from having a special adult in their life who spends time with them. As a result of that relationship, our data shows that our Littles begin to discover opportunities and possibilities that they never dreamed existed.
OUR MISSION
Create and professionally support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the promise in us all.
OUR VISION
Mentoring allows everyone to achieve their full potential.
Littles begin to believe in themselves; they are more successful in school; their relationships with peers and family improve; their willingness to try new things and make new friends significantly increases; and they are on their way to becoming self-reliant, independent young adults with an exciting future ahead of them. After being matched with a Big for 12 months, our Littles report the following:
- 97% felt more self-confident
- 86% improved their grades
- 96% thought drinking, smoking, and using drugs would negatively impact their futures
