Support accessible dental care for patients who need it most. The Community Access Fund helps to remove some of the financial barriers for marginalized patients who face financial challenges and hardship. When dental insurance or the Canadian Dental Plan does not cover complete treatment plans, this fund supports patients to ensure they receive essential care while students gain hands-on clinical experience rooted in compassion and social responsibility.  

Last year, more than 90 vulnerable patients received comprehensive dental care at no cost through this fund. DMD Students identify patients in need, complete a screening and referral process and work under faculty supervision to deliver full treatment plans that improve long-term health outcomes.
