Walk With Us: The Path Towards Reconciliation embeds Indigenous-led programs, partnerships and pedagogies across teaching, learning and research, shaping how all learners and future educators carry this knowledge into their communities.

A key part of this work is Learn-and-Earn, delivered in partnership with the Surrey School District, the Vancouver School District and UBC’s Faculty of Education, alongside Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Elders and community partners. Through a cohort-based approach, Indigenous high school students can begin preparing for careers in education as early as Grades 11 and 12, gaining paid, hands-on experience in classroom settings as well as culturally grounded mentorship, leadership development, career counselling, early exposure to post-secondary coursework and training leading to certification for employment in school-based support roles.
