Medicine Rural Placements Program
Medicine Rural's Faculty
Medicine
Support equitable health care across British Columbia. The Rural Placements Program helps medical students complete clinical training in rural and remote communities by covering travel and living costs so they can focus on gaining hands-on experience where it is needed most.
With more than 1,000 alumni donors and a strong record of success, the program continues to build a network of future physicians committed to serving underserved regions. Every UBC medical student participates in a rural placement, strengthening care across the province.
Your gift will allow students to focus on training and community engagement rather than financial barriers, ensuring they gain the experience and confidence to practice in rural and remote areas.
Make your Giving Day gift to the Medicine Rural Placements Program today to help train future physicians committed to serving communities across British Columbia.
