Dietetics Rural and Indigenous Placement Fund
Dietetics Rural and's Faculty
Land and Food Systems
Support the next generation of dietitians while strengthening health care access in rural and Indigenous communities across British Columbia. This fund helps UBC Dietetics students offset the additional costs of travel, temporary housing and living expenses during unpaid practicum placements outside major urban centres.
Thanks to generous donors, more than 37 students have already benefited from this support, allowing them to focus on learning and contribute to the wellbeing of communities across the province. Recent placements include the Penticton Health Centre, Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke and West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, where students are gaining hands-on experience and making a meaningful difference.
Your gift will ensure more students can pursue these vital opportunities and bring quality nutrition care to the communities that need it most.
Make your Giving Day gift to the Dietetics Rural and Indigenous Placement Fund today to help train future dietitians and strengthen community health across British Columbia.
