Support emerging sustainability leaders by giving to the Africa–UBC Oceans & Fisheries Visiting Fellows Program. This initiative was created by Drs. Daniel Pauly and Rashid Sumaila, globally recognized scholars at UBC’s Institute for Oceans and Fisheries, to strengthen research connections between Africa and Canada.
Each year, talented African researchers will come to UBC to collaborate with oceans and fisheries experts, work on real-world sustainability challenges and build long-term academic partnerships. By expanding networks between African and UBC scholars and their students, the program helps co-create interdisciplinary knowledge that benefits communities, ecosystems and research institutions around the world.
Your gift will help launch and grow this important program by supporting travel, research activities and collaborative projects that advance sustainable management of ocean and freshwater resources in Africa, Canada and globally.
Make your Giving Day gift to the Africa–UBC Oceans & Fisheries Visiting Fellows Program today to strengthen global sustainability leadership.
