The Erich Vogt First Year Student Research Experience provides paid summer placements for students who show strong promise in their introductory Physics courses, giving them the chance to work alongside established researchers in leading-edge labs at UBC Physics & Astronomy, the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, TRIUMF and more.  

Since 2014, the program has matched 23 students with unique research opportunities that build skills, spark curiosity, provide inspiring mentorship and open doors to future academic pathways.
