Film Program and Equipment Fund
Support emerging filmmakers as they develop their craft and bring new stories to life. The Film Program and Equipment Fund helps students in Film Production access essential equipment, bursaries and festival submission fees so they can produce professional-quality work and gain real-world experience.
Rising equipment costs continue to create barriers for students, and access to up-to-date cameras, editing software and sound gear is critical for hands-on learning in an industry with rapidly evolving technology. This fund has already helped students submit their films to festivals, including supporting alumni whose work screened at VIFF, and has strengthened student-led initiatives such as the POV Film Festival, which screened at the Rio Theatre last year.
Your gift will give students the tools they need to craft their own films at a professional standard, helping them build portfolios, acquire industry experience and share their stories with wider audiences.
Make your Giving Day gift to the Film Program and Equipment Fund today to help students hone their craft and bring their creative visions to life.
