School of Social Work Community Learning Fund
Empower the people who care for our communities! Every day, social workers and health and human service professionals show up for people in need. The Social Work Community Learning Fund helps reduce tuition costs for frontline professionals, many of whom have had limited access to advanced or continuing education, so they can participate in high-quality professional development programs offered by the School of Social Work.
Although this is a new fund, past participants consistently praise UBC’s interactive, hands-on approach and the renewed confidence they bring back to their workplaces. This includes timely programs such as the new Mental Health and Substance Use training, designed to support professionals working with vulnerable communities.
Your gift helps remove financial barriers, making one-day workshops and flexible online courses more accessible to those who need them most. This support strengthens both individual career growth and the quality of care provided across the sector.
Make your Giving Day gift to the School of Social Work Community Learning Fund today to help expand access to education that strengthens care, builds capacity and uplifts our communities.
